Yes. We understand that distance between a rural home and the city is a huge obstacle. Cost of travel, time off work, discomfort, and health issues all add up to inconvenience for the patient and make it difficult to turn up to appointments.
We’re no strangers to getting our boots dirty. Our staff can be the inconvenienced ones who travel to you in the rural centres, bringing their kit to assess, measure, teach and advise. We’ve run rural pop-up clinics in places such as Raetihi and Taihape — and we can run one in your neck of the woods.
Where a face-to-face consultation is difficult or urgent, g20’s clinicians are experienced in conducting “virtual consultations” with the patient by telephone or Zoom.
Talk to your local health provider and request they contact g20 to ask for this service. So we can get you back in the right sized gumboots, living and working safely and more comfortably in your own environment.
